On this Sunday, 27th September around 9:45pm there will be a Total Eclipse of the Harvest Moon.
This Sunday happens to be the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. When the Moon eclipse and a full Moon
occur together, the moon could be 13% larger in our eyes, and 25-30 times brighter than it is!
In Houston the entire eclipse will be visible. It really will be a marvelous sight! The media have
taken to calling this and recent total eclipses of the Moon “Blood Moons” due to the red or coppery-red
color of the Moon during totality. The weather forecast predicts clear skies and cooler temperatures
at the time of the eclipse.
Enjoy this special event & Have a happy Mid-Autumn Festival with your family!
